The MacGregor 26 is an American trailerable sailboat, that was designed by Roger MacGregor and first built in 1986, with production ending in 2013.
This boat is located on Lake Guntersville in north Alabama. We have it in a slip and store the trailer at home. This is a perfect boat for our region, shallow draft and will motor upwards of 14 knots without the water ballast. We bought it (2018) because we like to sail but the wind is not always favorable on Alabama lakes. The Macgregor 26x makes for a great cabin cruiser with the 50 hp motor. Alas, we just don’t use it enough so I want to pay it forward to the next sailor.
